For his “Inner Atlas” series, Australian photographer Trent Mitchell captured absolutely stunning photos of free-spirited body surfers as they rode the waters and blended their bodies into the waves of the ocean. Amongst Mitchell’s subjects was filmmaker Robert Sherwood, who created a short film about the photographer and his seaside project.

I've met several people who spent at least a few years of their lives in this land. They've shown me pictures. In all four seasons, I swear this place is one of the most beautiful on the planet. Definitely on my bucket list for a visit.
Here is the official Croatia Tourism site.
I wish they'd push for some winter travel. Also gorgeous.

The 2018 Drone Awards photo contest has announced the best aerial photographs of the year across six categories for professionals and amateurs. More than 4400 submissions were submitted from everywhere in the world by talented professional photographers and amateur drone photo enthusiasts coming from 101 countries.
Even with the People's Democratic Republic of Korea (commonly referred to as North Korea here in the west) in the news so much, what goes on behind the scenes in that country is rarely seen.
Photographer Eric Lafforgue has been to the DPRK six times since 2008, and because of these pictures, he is banned from ever returning.

Not a teen any longer, now aged 22.
Eadington is a design student from Kansas, currently living in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK. At the age of 14 she decided to take a picture every day and a few years ago she released her first timelapse, showing how much she grew over eight years. “I saw a few similar projects on the internet and thought it could be interesting to see how I changed as I grew up too,” Eadington told Bored Panda. Maintaining a project this big has its difficulties though. “The most challenging part is maybe aligning the eyes for the video.”

Whether you’re a fan of Nirvana or not, chances are that you’re familiar with the cover of their Nevermind album. It’s the one with a naked baby chasing a dollar in a swimming pool, and a reader’s poll for Rolling Stone magazine rated it as the third most iconic cover of all time.
Well believe it or not, that little baby – named Spencer Elden – is now 25 years old, and in homage to the album’s quarter century anniversary, he recently decided to recreate the pose that made him famous.

Joachim Munter, a talented photographer who lives in Helsinki, Finland has captured the innate beauty and magical personalities of the various animals who populate the Finnish forest. In these photos, Munter’s connection with the animals is evident; birds perch on his hand, a fox smiles for the camera, a squirrel lies upon a tree limb without a worry in the world while a little field mouse shows off some ill-gotten bounty.

Flooding in Venice is pretty common, but the most recent flood left 70% of central Venice under water. I'm amazed by how people seem to be taking it in stride - ordering espresso, having pizza for lunch and even swimming in Piazza San Marco!
